THE KINGDOM OF HIKERS
From Altrei there are many hiking trails that will immerse you in the regenerative mountain forest.
The routes are of both easy and intermediate difficulty and can be hiked independently or accompanied by a guide (ask at the reception of Residence Zum Rössl).
Here you can see details of 16 routes starting from Anterivo
Altrei - trudnerhorn Park – Altrei
- Forest road no. 2 through shady forests. The path becomes narrower and narrower and meanders towards vast larch meadows and idyllic huts. Again and again we pass from one peat bog to another.
- When we reach path E5, we turn right towards Trudnerhorn (1710 metres), where a splendid panoramic view of the Fiemme Valley Alps awaits us.
- After a break at the alpine hut, we first descend towards Cisa Passand then continue on trail no. 3 through shady spruce and fir woods towards Anterivo.
- Walking time: about 4.5 hours, medium difficulty excursion, difference in altitude 500 m
CIRCULAR TRAIL IN THE trudnerhorn PARK
The route leads from the saddle north of Truden in a southerly direction along Forchwaldegg to the Rungganöhof farmstead. The route first leads along a forest road across the meadows and then on a path (no. 5) through the forest to the Pera hut. Under clear skies, there is a view northwards over the Regglberg to the Texel Group and the Zillertal Alps. Continue through a young forest and wetlands to the Palù Lunga biotope and on to the Malghette-Krabes (open in summer, 1,540m). From here you continue on a slight descent (trail no. 9) to the Cisa pass, an old pass between Altrei and Truden. Return to Trodena via the European path (no. E5) through coniferous forests.
